Prof. Suparna Kar Chowdhury
Electrical Engineerin, Jadavpur University
Dr. Suparna Kar Chowdhury is a distinguished professor of Electrical Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, with over three decades of expertise in machine analysis and design. She earned her B.Tech from Jadavpur University (1987), M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur (1989), and Ph.D. from Jadavpur University (2000). She has published around 40 papers in national and international journals and conferences, focusing on machine design, optimization, and electrical system modeling. A senior IEEE member, she has played key leadership roles in the IEEE Kolkata Section. Dr. Chowdhury has mentored five Ph.D. and sixteen M.E. students. Her research contributions, academic leadership, and dedication to advancing electrical engineering continue to shape the field, with her work influencing both academia and industry.

Prof. Akhtar Kalam
Victoria University, Professor of Electrical Engineering
Professor Akhtar Kalam has been with Victoria University (VU) since 1985. He is the Head of External Engagement and Chair of the Academic Board at the Engineering Institute of Technology, Perth. He holds a Distinguished Professorship at the University of New South Wales and multiple universities in India and Malaysia.
With experience across four continents, he earned degrees from Calcutta University, Aligarh Muslim University, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Bath. His expertise includes power systems, renewable energy, and smart grids.
He has published over 542 papers and 26 books, supervised 35+ PhD students, and consults for major utilities. A Fellow of EA, IET, AIE, and a life member of IEEE, he regularly delivers global lectures and professional training.

Prof. Frede Blaabjerb
Alaborg University, Professor of Electronics Engineering
Dr. Frede Blaabjerg is a renowned power electronics researcher and professor at Aalborg University (AAU Energy). He worked with ABB-Scandia (1987-1988) before earning his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Aalborg University in 1995. He became a Full Professor in 1998 and a Villum Investigator in 2017.
His research focuses on power electronics applications, including wind turbines, PV systems, reliability, and Power-2-X. He has published over 900 journal papers and co-authored ten monographs.
Dr. Blaabjerg has received numerous accolades, including the IEEE Edison Medal (2020) and the Global Energy Prize (2019). He has held key IEEE leadership roles and is a member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences. From 2014-2021, he was among the world’s top 250 cited engineering researchers.

Prof. Jhon Ham Pretorius
University of Johannesburg, South Africa
Jan-Harm worked at the South African Atomic Energy Corporation (AEC) as a Senior Consulting Engineer for fifteen years. He also worked as the Technology Manager at the Satellite Applications Centre (SAC) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He is currently a Professor: Postgraduate School of Engineering Management in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment. He has co-authored 240 research papers and supervised over 55 PhD and 260 Master’s students in Electrical Engineering and mostly in Engineering Management. He is a registered professional engineer, professional Measurement and Verification (M&V) practitioner, senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE), fellow of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) and a fellow of the South African Academy of Engineering.

Mr. Prabir Kumar Mukhopadhyay

Mr. Prabir Kumar Mukhopadhyay took over as Member-Secretary of the Damodar Valley Corporation on October 27, 2014. He is an electrical engineer from Jadavpur University and also holds an MBA degree from IGNOU. Prior to joining the DVC, he was posted as Director (Production) in Braithwaite & Co. Limited in Kolkata and also served in different capabilities in BHEL and rose up to the level of DGM there.
